Henderson Habitat for Humanity recently became a part of the HandsOnNetwork program's opportunities for volunteers to be rewarded with a free day at the Disney parks. The HandsOnNetwork is a "volunteer-focused arm of Points of Light Institute, an international nonprofit organization whose core mission is to inspire, equip and mobilize people to take action that changes the world." The Atlanta-based organization celebrates in 2010 the "everyday heroes who serve in their communities with the 'Give A Day-Get A Disney Day' program.
Henderson Habitat for Humanity provides opportunities for a day's volunteer service either at the ReStore on South Green Street or at the construction site.
