"Now it looks like a house!"

Members of Henderson's Noon Lions Club joined members of First Christian Church and two approved Habitat applicant households Saturday, June 27, to raise the roof trusses on the Apostles' Build House at 511 Plum Street. Persevering 95+ degrees and humidity as high, these dedicated volunteers got the job done by 11am! Watching from the far right are the house recipients, Eric and Casandra Bridges. Joe and Carol Martinez and their two teen-age children are on the other side of the house helping to nail the side decking to the exterior wall.
Following a Saturday off to celebrate July 4th, work will resume preparing the house to receive its roof.
